The best kept secret in music

"An enjoyable debut that begs for repeated plays, and with a little more experience under their belt Oma could quickly become one of New England's most promising pure rock prospects." -

"I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw these guys on a label in the future, because I can’t see any weakness in their music. They have a good vocalist in Jeff Bragg, very suitable for this type of rock, a bunch of good songs and a personal sound that makes them quite unique in the jungle of alternative rock...if these four guys can continue writing good songs like these, they will have a label printed on the back of their cover next time." -

"Oma is another band that has made an impact on the scene in a short few unsigned band of 2003...they bring certain influences into their sound but base their creative style around it with haunting beauty, hard hitting melody, and diversity...Oma should hit the big time sooner than later." -

"Oma appear to have a lot going for them musically, and Pure as a debut EP is more than enough evidence of that...Oma are a promising outfit, with every chance of gaining recognition beyond the New England area if they can maintain the potential on display within "Pure." -

"The guys in Oma stand out to me and have to be one of the better Boston hard rock acts out there today...with a sound not too dissimilar from major rock acts Staind and Tool, Oma brings forth their own style that keeps it interesting...Pure is five tracks of very solid rock." -

"Pure" - 5 Song EP - January 2004

Feeling a bit camera shy

Oma formed in 2003 in Boston, MA, and is comprised of Jeff Bragg, Jason Calieri, Joey Korenman, and Carl Randolph. Drawing upon a wide variety of influences, the members of Oma strive to create music that is sonically diverse, thought provoking, and timeless. To span genres and defy categorization. To make heavy music with a melodic twist. The goal and the process have always been the same - ignore the trends, stick to the basics of good songwriting, and utilize the diverse musical interests of each band member to create a sum greater than its parts. Oma released their debut EP "Pure" in January 2004, and are currently gigging throughout the Northeast. They have also started writing songs for their upcoming debut full-length album, which is due in Spring 2005.
