Lyrics

Believe

Written By: Omaira Falcon

(chorus)
What would be of me
What would be of me
If I didn't believe
In love

What would be of me if I didn't believe
in the leaves of most trees changing color in the fall,
in rivers flowing downstream
that the bitterness of pain makes
a hungry heart content

What would be of me if I didn't believe
in my own breath,
in madly loving nature without thinking
For thinking deceives you into believing
you must possess that which you love.

What would be of me if I didn't believe
in my romantic dreams, ?in the wilderness of beasts,
that the smallest of birds ?lives freely in the wild?

If I didn't believe it would be like a guitar
that has never played a song standing in a corner
like a statue in the cold. A pair of good eyes
walking blind to the reality
nothing in the universe is alike.
Reason without love
balancing peace and war.

Terribly absurd it would be
if I didn't believe in love.

I Am You

Written By: Omaira Falcon

(chorus)
In the heart
Of a lightning struck tree
I saw a light
I saw a light
I saw a light
And in the light I saw you, I saw me
And I was you and you were me
And I was you and you were me.

I am you
The you I detest
When all you do
I perceive as grotesque.

I am you
The you I revere
When dance in the sun
cheek-to-cheek

I am you:
It is me I see
In every wave you create
In every step you take
in every word you invent
To disguise the truth that
I am merely a reflection of thou.
I am merely a reflection of thou.
I am merely a reflection of thou.

Say Thank You

Written By: Omaira Falcon

(chorus)
Rise Up
Let us be grateful
Rise Up
Let us be grateful
Rise Up
Let us be grateful
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
I just want to say thank you.

Thank you for today
has brought me
laughs and tears
Thank you for the night stars
they bring me peace and hope
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
I just want to say thank you

Thank you for the rain
it washed my pain away
Ah, thank you for the sunshine
I'm smiling at life again.
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
I just want to say thank you

Thank you for my friends
Who see my divinity
thank you For my enemies
they challenge my imperfections.

Thank you for the trees
They teach me how to breathe
Thank you for the animals
They teach me how to say. . .
Thank you, thank you, thank you,
I just want to say thank you.
Let us be grateful
To one another
For we are a reflection of
The infinite universe.

Do What We Love

Written By: Omaira Falcon

If what you're saying is true. ?We've grown tired of running this town
Like an old pair of shoes.
You see no place, no thing, no one ?Can fill this void in our hearts. ?Let's take it slow baby
Let's take it slow baby

At this point in our lives,
All we have is the sun and the ocean
By our side pushing us like a feather in the direction of our hearts
Do you feel the winds of change?
Let's take it slow baby
Let's take it slow baby

No matter how many times we may fall
We must rise from these ashes
Like a forest in flames
Let's take it slow baby
Let's take it slow baby

After all that we have struggled
Day and night working hard like mules
But all is in vane
If we don't step out of our comforting shadows
To do what we love.

No matter where we go we gotta do what we love
No matter where we go we gotta do what we love
No matter where we go from here
We gotta do what we love
We gotta do what we love
No place, no thing, no one
Can fill this void in our hearts
We must rise from these ashes like a forest in flames
And step outside of our comforting shadows to do what we love
We gotta do what we love, we gotta do what we love
Let's take it slow, let's take it slow, let's take it slow. . .

Let's take it slow, let's take it slow, let's take it slow, let's take it slow
No matter where we go from here
We gotta do what we love
We gotta do. . .
We gotta do. . .
We gotta we gotta, we gotta, we gotta
We gotta do what we love
Nno matter, no matter , no matter no no no
No matter no, no matter no, no matter no, no matter
No matter where we go from here
We gotta do what we love. . .
We gotta do what we love!
We gotta do what we love
No matter where we go from here
We gotta do what we love
No matter where we go
We gotta do what we love
No matter where we go
We gotta do what we love. No matter no
Let's take it slow
Let's take it slow
Let's take it slow.

Heaven (Acoustic Mix)

Written By: Omaira Falcon

Preacher man
what in God is it you’re saying
we gotta die to get to heaven??
Teacher why if more kisses than ?bombs are blown every day
your books only tell me
about them bloody wars?

Don’t you know
heaven heaven is a state of mind,
paradise is at your feet?
Heaven is a state of mind
Paradise is at your feet.

Lovers can’t you see
there are six billion people in the world, today
so why you suffer for the one
who won’t love you back?

When you don’t know
who you are
you fall for anything for anyone.
When you fall you hate.
And when you hate your life is a burning hell.

When you know who you are
When you do what you love
When you share your love with the world
You are in heaven.

So rise up there is so much to live for:
the smell of jasmine in the spring,
sunrises, sunsets, the sweetness of wine and bread,
and these songs I have written for you my friends.
This is heaven.

Don't Give Up

Written By: Omaira Falcon

(chorus)
Go let your troubles go.
Go let your worries go.
Go let your troubles go.
Go let your worries go.

Down my friend
Let your hair hang down.
Out my sister sing your heart out
Come on brothers
Cut your bones loose and dance!
Come on children
Put your hands up.
Up! Up! Don’t give up, now!

In let the rain in.
Blow let the wind blow.
Up, up, the river will rise
Down, down, the river will drop.
Up and down the ocean my friend
Ride the waves. There goes the tide out.
There comes the tide again. Up, up!
Don’t give up, now! Don't Give up now.

Happy Is All

Written By: Omaira Falcon

Not in the books that I've read ?Or working for Johnny did I find ?The truth of my existence. ?Don’t get me wrong? There is honor in working, ?But not when the fruit ?Of your work grows ?On someone else's tree.

(chorus)?I am from nowhere and everywhere.
My religion is love. Look for me ?You will find me sprinkled on the dark sky
Happy is all I want to be!?Happy is all I want to be!

Like a blooming tree, I make flowers
Of my grief. I'm a castle made of sand.
Have you seen a grain of sand ?Polished by the sea? I am sand. ?Make a snow ball watch it grow as it rolls.
Like a snow ball, I am rolling down ?These city streets like I have rolled ?Down them country roads.

Heaven sent are my days doing what I love.
Planting flowers in March,
Singing happy songs in June.
Come December, ?Late December, I am blue.
I am blue singing,
Happy is all I want to be!
Happy is all I want to be!

Tell 'Em

Written By: Omaira Falcon

I gotta make a decision? Before I blow up inside?Or I can waste my time waiting on you
Then crawl in a hole and die.
?(chorus)
Friends tell 'em
I am walking on fire
Burning demons off my back.
Tell 'em, I am fishing waves
by the ocean side,
feeding the dead,
sucking mangos waiting ?on the coming of some god.
I'm tired of waiting
on a savior
Gonna lift my wings and fly
Tell 'em I have wings and I think I can fly.

I can spend my life
Asking for forgiveness
To know that I am worth your time
Then sit here! Watching ships pass me by
As I grow old and die.

Mister take your money,
I ain't wasting more time
Sitting in this office
Watching life escape me by.

Free

Written By: Omaira Falcon

I am a rooster singing
announcing the arrival of a new day
I am a bird without wings
walking these lonely city streets . . .

(chorus)
singing: let me be. Let me be free!
Free 'cause I was born by the sea!

Maybe this life is nothing
but a dream within a dream, and
These concrete city walls
are only good for molding slaves. . .

I’m a caged bird set free
going where sunsets are lime green, flying
I can feel this life like lightening
rushing through my veins. . .

Sometimes in my dreams
I am a bird without a song, suddenly
I’m awaken by a bird
outside my window. . .
