Omar Edwards started dancing at the age of 13 when he saw his cousin Savion Glover
perform in the movie ?gTap?h.At the age of 16,Omar Edwards formed a group Toe Jamm with Daniel Wooten,Jr. They appeared 13 times on Ed McMahon?fs "Star Search"and won the grand prize. In 1993, Omar performed throughout the two-year international tour of the Broadway hit"Black and Blue", and then joined the Broadway Cast of "Bring In ?eDa Noise, Bring In ?eDa Funk". He has performed with major stars,from Buster Brown to Bunny Briggs and recently toured Europe with blues legend Linda Hopkins in her shows "Wild Woman Blues".
Omar continues to tour his one man dance concerts through out the United States and overseas averaging at least 150 Tap shows a year.
