Omega Tha Kid

Rapper, Songwriter, and Studio Engineer Omega the Kid takes a different approach toward music. He thinks too much of the music being made today is “fake,” and he sees himself as “the end of fake music.”

He came to believe in the truth of genuine music after being exposed to a diverse cross-section of different music styles and cultures through his extensive travels. Although he was born in Washington, DC, Omega spent a great deal of his life traveling around the world from a very young age. He has lived in Spain, Hawaii, and various states in the USA. During his extensive travels he learned to appreciate music of other cultures and how this sounds from different peoples had an impact on his life.

He wrote his first song lyrics at the age of seven and he started free styling when he was twelve. His vision is clear and Omega plans to create music that “everybody can listen to.” But his musical aspirations don’t end there. His ultimate goal is to make an impact on the music industry so big that it’ll expand the musical horizons of his peers for many generations to come. Since much of what he knows he learned from performers that came before him, Omega the Kid wants to be the legacy for artists and performers who come after him.

Rap music rapidly gained in popularity during the early years because it was original. People craved for something new and real and that’s why they gravitated so heavily toward rap. Omega personifies the early trend that made rap music catch on like wildfire; he’s an original and his sound is beginning to spread.

Omega is determined to bring the true essence of rap back to the forefront of the music industry. He continues to experiment with many different kinds of “feel good, but real music” as well as painting pictures on the canvas of his life through song lyrics the way and artists creates timeless portraits with a paint brush.

Since omega the kid has been so strongly influenced by multicultural sounds, he plans to share himself through his own style of multicultural music internationally and show the world what rap really means. He wants international audience to understand that rap is about rhythm and poetry, as well as a lyrical picture of the pain, love, struggle, and victories in his life.

Omega says, “Music is life’s soundtrack. As the years go by and the more lessons I learn, more music comes.” With his explosive lyrics and soulful vocals , Omega the Kid will use his skills as a rapper, singer, and guitarist to demonstrate to the pop music culture that he’s exactly what the game has been missing.
