split / flip is a collaborative release from Captain Earwax (AUS) and omni sight (JPN). Following a year of Skype calls and emails in mid-2017, the artists decided to do a ‘split / flip’. The idea behind it was that each artist would create a new track for the release and then get the other artist to ‘flip’ it.
split / flip features new material from both artists, drawing on natural textures, acoustic elements mixed with sparse experimental and electronic sounds, and inspired by the people and Japanese culture.
