"Omnisoul "Waiting (Save Your Life)" - CD Single Review"

6/22/2005

Omnisoul propels Pop/Rock to a new plateau with "Waiting", redefining their genre with a combination of traditional rock and a hint of electronica. Fans of artists such as Radiohead, John Mayer, Dave Matthews and Coldplay should enjoy the current offering from this Delaware quintent.

Emotional vocals blend well with chordy synths and guitars. Providing room for the drums and bass to define the back beat. The bass line delivers a commanding pulse electronica fans could appreciate while maintaining a solid rock undertone by walking around a bit throughout the song, giving it a more progressive than repetitious feel. Lyrics are straight forward and emotional on a subject people can relate to. The phrasing in the chorus is catchy which makes it easy to sing along with. Ladies and gentlemen,... please dim the lights and raise your lighters... Good song. - Craveonline.com

"Omnisoul "When You Go" - CD Single Review"

6/14/2006

It is promising that this Delaware band may be sharing a place on the Billboard Hot 100 someday, replacing such bands as Daniel Powter (finally!).

“When You Go” is an inspiring well crafted single sounding perfect for a show like MTV’s Laguna Beach. The song has clever phrasing and great instrumental arrangement providing singer Derek Fuhrmann with enough edge to steer clear from being categorized as plain pop or the unforgiving “boy band”.

This single rocks with a catchy chorus in tow and a wholesome vocalist that shares his emotional lyrics and some contributing creative arrangements. Resembling such vocalists as Howie Day and John Mayer, appealing to an audience should not be a problem. The song begins with an acoustic guitar and then the piano comes in as an uplifting attempt to guide you to the undoubtedly catchy and explosive chorus. The arrangement of instruments and background vocals in the chorus contributes to the soul that Derek Fuhrmann already delivers in this single.

If Omnisoul’s upcoming album contains all the elements in this single, they should be expecting much success and quickly. - Florida Entertainment Scene

August 21, 2006 - 2:48pm

“Hometown Heroes” Omnisoul have taken another step towards becoming a national act since signing a major record deal with Wind-up Records (Creed, Evanescence, Seether) in April 2005. After becoming local favorites in their native Delaware (the band met while attending U of D), the band will have music featured in one of the highest selling video games of all time. Other artists on the Madden Soundtrack include Audioslave, Dashboard Confessional, and Keane. The band’s song “Not Giving Up” originally gained recognition while being played in sports stadiums throughout the nation. Teams that feature the song include the Philadelphia Eagles, Philadelphia Phillies, Jacksonville Jaguars, and the superbowl champion Pittsburgh Steelers.

The band’s hit song “Waiting (Save Your Life)” holds the station record at 93.7 WSTW for most consecutive nights as the number one most requested song in the Delaware Valley (29 nights straight). The song was also featured in last summers’ blockbuster movie “The Fantastic Four” and CBS’s Hit series “Joan of Arcadia”. Omnisoul’s first Wind-up release is due later this year.
