"Great band. Great message."

Fabulous Music, November 7, 2000
Reviewer: A music fan
Upon hearing the CD Through the Fire, I felt pressing urge to tell my friends about this incredible christian rock band, OBK. It seemed as if I'd experienced the messages behind each song and that faith and hope was still alive for me. It's kind of hard living a life with no direction. Since Iv'e been reminded of the truth in their message, I become exited about life again. Dazzled

"Prog Rock Still Holds Up"

Reviewer: Ronnie West
When I first heard this CD, my sister lend it to me, I couldn't believe that this band wasn't snatched up by a major lable. This band has all the elements it needs to reach the masses with pure aural excitement. Purchase this CD today. - CD Baby

"Brilliant performers"

I've known these gentlemen from waaaayyyy back in the days of Church on Brady, and I still love their music. I had the pleasure of watching them perform their awesome music on several occasions (both as "Sojourner" and "OBK") and have never forgotten about them and their servent's hearts. I must admit I miss their original bassist/vocalist Gary Wilson, but Phil Lugo manages to still hold it all together with a voice I didn't even know he had! "Trust" is one of my favorite CD's. It's in my car and has never made it to inside the house or my husband's car! I especially like the title track, with the rain-sound effects and all. "Addiction" is also a mean rocker. "Always" is somewhat of a power-punk anthem, more for my kids than me, but I love it just the same. The one disappointment I have with OBK is: where is "Through The Fire", your 1st record?? I love "I Believe" and "Only For A Moment". These songs must be shared with everyone.

"Awesome Vocals!"

Overall, great CD. I'm not into Christian Rock, but this is one of the best bands I've ever heard. I would recommend this CD to those who are in the mood for hard hitting Rock.

"Better than the last one. And the last one was great!"

The second track spoke volumes to me. - CD Baby

"A must have CD!"

If you are into uplifting, inspiring and just plain feel-good music, this is a must have CD!

Bio

On Bended Knee was formed in 1995.
Their unique blend of Rock-infused, crowd-pleasing musical grooves and soaring vocal harmonies made them a standout on the local music scene.
They immediately started performing at various youth festivals, as well as many venues up and down the California coast. These venues include The Roxy, The Whisky A Go Go, Golden Gate Seminary in San Francisco, Azusa Pacific University, major youth camps in Arrowhead Springs, Calvary Chapel Café in Downey, Public Municipal events such as the Alhambra Springfest, the City of Duarte Summer Concert Series, the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, The Gig (on Melrose), Cuernavaca in Old Towne Pasadena, Smart City Grinds Coffee House in Azusa, The Block at Orange, BB King’s Blues Club, Universal Citywalk and many, many others.

On Bended Knee has produced two successful CDs, 1996’s “Through The Fire” and 2003’s “Trust”. While membership has changed over the years, Phil Lugo and Ron Ruiz have remained in the band from the beginning as the two creative forces.
Guitarist, Chip Williams and Bobby H.Q. Storm, joined forces with the group recently and have made a huge contribution in shaping the band’s ever evolving sound.
In December 2004, while enjoying a concert given by Christian music icon, Bryan Duncan, at Calvary Chapel Pasadena, the band was blessed with an opportunity to meet, and even have coffee, with Bryan after the show at a local Denny's. This event led to Bryan attending an OBK performance in Hollywood at the world famous Knitting Factory. Bryan again blessed the band by introducing them to his musical director/bassist Ricky B. Rogers (Motley Crue, Incubus, Rachael Lampa Kid Rock).
Ricky then took on the role as producer for OBK. Ricky, along with Co-Producer, Grammy Award winning Randy Thomas (formerly of Sweet Comfort Band, Allies, and Shania Twain fame) invited the band to fly down to Nashville, TN. and record their latest CD entitled "Feels Like Sunday".
