Bio
Jason Christopher and Michael Keefe met in 1998 and began writing and recording together that year. In 2002, they recruited Delonde Bell on drums and original bassist, Gerald Del Campo, and began playing live that summer. In spring 2005, they solidified their line-up, with Adam Mishaga taking over on bass and Steve Lane adding his ringing guitar lines. They have spent the last year playing out, writing new material, and recording the songs that will appear on their debut CD, to be released late summer, 2006. Once In The Sun are now booking shows for the summer and will be placing an emphasis on playing live throughout the remainder of 2006. While the members of the band each have many influences, Once In The Sun's music most primarily reflects their shared interests in post-punk and indie rock. Unlike other bands mining a similar vein, they stretch that sonic template with alt-pop and college rock influences, such as the Smiths, New Order, and the Church.
