Visionaries, innovators and worshipers are the three best qualities that precisely describe this band’s musical approach. Accordingly, the band’s members are well committed to reflect spirituality and hope in everything they do. This band has raised the bar in terms of goals and music but also embraces a constant reality check reminder: “to keep their feet on the ground”. The band’s debut album is titled “Descansa” which in Spanish means “Rest”. The album includes a well-balanced variety of music genres such as ska, pop rock, alternative and latin. So far, the band’s accolades include a first prize for best pop-rock alternative song of 2005 awarded by the Gospel Music Association for the song titled “Healing Sound”; performances with Grammy Award winners such as Israel Houghton and Jeremy Camp, among others.
“The band’s music has a way of getting to you and sticking in your head”. These are the thoughts of the many radio stations that have played Onda Sagrada’s tunes. Recently, the band’s song titled “Good Times” figured among the Top 10 playlist of the #1 Rock music Station of Puerto Rico called Alpha Rock 105.7fm, right beside mainstream bands names such as Coldplay, All American Rejects, Weezer, and Papa Roach. Undoubtedly, this band’s music has been buzz worthy all year long. Critics can’t hardly wait to hear what comes out next.
