"One After the Crow – Self-titled EP"

This album is good for anyone who enjoys a mix of genres, and would like songs to get them thinking. It has a unique sound and a power that you are not likely to forget - Franca G. Mignacca (Bucketlistmusicreviews.com) - Bucketlistmusicreviews.com

"One After The Crow"

They veer between prog metal, folk prog and just good old prog. Full marks to the duo for an adventurous approach to their music and, fingers crossed, it won’t be the last we hear from them. - Stuart A Hamilton

Bio

One After The Crow is a progressive rock collaboration from Winnipeg Manitoba, Canada, founded in 2013 by Landon Hawkins (vocals, guitars, keys) and Pablo Riedel (Bass, Guitars).  As  a studio concept,  the focus of the duo was to write progressive rock music with an atmospheric flow.  The 4 song self titled EP tailors influences from each others writing history, which includes prog rock, metal, industrial, grunge and psychedelic.

Landon and Pablo met while playing in separate bands during their time rocking the Winnipeg circuit in 1998.   They opened shows for each others bands and were well received in the local scene.  Between the two artists, they released 4 albums and toured in Canada and The United States.   After both bands defunct, for half a decade each artist played in various other bands, projects  and writing demos.  Landon and Pablo eventually decided to put their experience together to form a writing project.

One After the Crow exudes tension and release,  prevalent edgy guitars, calculated percussion fused with euphoric tone which sets the stage for personal, powerful, dark and often soothing vocals.  The wildly progressive characteristics of Pablo's writing style, in unison with Landon's vision to arrange and compose, form unique and unforgettable songs.
The EP was Written and Recorded at KINGDEAD STUDIO in Winnipeg.  It was engineered by Landon Hawkins and produced and arranged by both members; drums by Winnipeg percussionist Kevin Kornelsen; lead guitar (Stolen Trains) by Calgary musician S.W Carey;  mixed at Private Ear Studio by John Paul Peters in Winnipeg, and mastered by Ed Brooks at RFI Studios in Seattle.

One After The Crow has already begun writing and recording a followup EP slated to be released in summer 2015
