Few individuals in this world have the drive to create their own fate in this life, defying all obstacles in their way to achieve what they believe in.
ONE DAY REMAINS are a group of five people on the path to doing just that, with an eye for carving out their own destiny and opposing anything that could deter them from becoming a major hard rock powerhouse.
ONE DAY REMAINS have boosted their credibility with their track,’ Never Say Die’ being chosen by Super Sport as the theme song for the Vodacom Tri-Nations. The song represents the passion, honesty and brutality of rugby’s most intense tournament! Taking into account that this is off the band’s debut album, `Sins Convictions & Confessions’, it’s was a major breakthrough for the quartet.
Founded by the talented Michael Naranjo, `ONE DAY REMAINS’ roots can be traced back to the sleepy suburb of Tableview in Cape Town, where Michael wanted to gather a group of musicians together that would do music justice.
After searching for the right people for the job, Donovan Paterson stepped into the mould on Bass. Ryan Schnettler joined soon after and is a giant on the guitar. The latest additions to the band is Francois ”Bibz” de Klerk on drums and Jed James on guitar.
ONE DAY REMAINS quickly become the talk of the Western Cape due to the intensity of frontman Michael Naranjo’s on stage performance and an undying work ethic. Michael is known as having “the most powerful voice in South Africa”. Their fan base spans international and have received numerous requests from fans in countries such as Italy, New Zealand, North America, Ireland and Holland to do shows.
Their mix of hard rock, skilful musicianship and catchy choruses will definitely appeal to fans of Seether, Nickelback, Creed, Alter Bridge and 30 Seconds To Mars.
ONE DAY REMAINS have toured extensively with some of South Africa’s premiere acts such as Prime Circle and played alongside top acts like Cutting Jade, Crash Car Burn, Bouwer Bosch, Van Coke Kartel and Lonehill Estate to name a few. They have graced the stage at both local and international festivals such as Varing Fees, Aardklop, Rapport 40th, Lowveld Masters, Falls Fest Zimbabwe, Mykonos Fees, Bakkie Dag Fees, Kurt Darren In Die Bosveld, Africa Bike week, Coca Cola Zero Fest 2009 where they played the main stage with international acts Oasis, Snow Patrol and Panic at the Disco , Harley Davidson Dubai and Harley Davidson Africa Bike Week locally.
Their first single `The Need’ which was rushed to radio whilst working on the rest of the album and has received phenomenal response from major radio stations including 5FM, where it shot in on the Hi 5@5, and reached number 1 on Highveld 94.7 Homebrew chart for 2 weeks running.
The band has been regularly invited to perform on air at the various radio stations around the country including 5FM, Band Invasion, Highveld’s Homebrew show and various campus stations such as Tuks FM and UJFM.
Their video for the blistering track `Never Say Die’ has received great rotation across all TV channels and reached number 1 on MK Top 10!
ONE DAY REMAINS’ debut album, `Sins, Convictions & Confessions’, was recorded at Stylus Recording Studios with legendary producer Ziggy (Prime Circle, Cutting Jade) and is an example of the highest production standards.

The latest album ‘Saints and Sinners’ – double disc- was recorded at S-Cubed Recordings, Produced by Michael Naranjo. Co – Production by Ryan Schnettler and Jared Gunston from Red Room Records. This album is to be watched closely as it showcases phenomenal growth in the group and is already starting to turn out hits.
“Come Back Around” has been play listed on 94.7 Highveld Stereo in 2012, this song features on the new Saints and Sinners album, from this album a total of 14 tracks have now been play listed on various radio stations, according to one radio station owner this has not happened to any single artist in South Africa.
