One Sultry Day is an alternative rock band with Native American roots, in Seattle WA. The band was created by guitarist Dana Dougherty, and officially launched in April 2017. The band performs a mix of originals, and occasionally a cover song or two.
One Sultry Day's original songs are transformative in nature. They discuss moving on, overcoming some challenge, finding a way forward out of chaos, or navigating something emotional. The songs are meant to rock in an inspiring and uplifting manner. The band will frequently use natively inspired instruments in its recorded material, whether its a hide drum, wooden flute, crystal bowls or even a bear shaped rattle.
