Old Dog Music is a song writing project started by Ollie Davidson. He has a knack for writing unusual but exquisite ballads.” Wilted Sunflowers," for instance, incorporates strange yet lovely harmonies The same can be said for "Turning Back" and many of his unique tunes. I would be at a loss to compare Old Dog Music to any other band I have ever heard before; but then again, isn't that the kind of music one secretly longs to hear?
Davidson has recruited a gifted group of musicians for this project: Peter Andreadis on drums and vocals, Ben Gee on bass and vocals, Adam Frick on piano, French horn on guitar, and rounded off by Ruby Harris on violin and Mandolin. This is the kind of stuff that modern radio not only needs, but should be craving (that is, if most station owners truly cared about pleasing their listeners as opposed to their sponsors). How can anybody resist the captivating vamp of "Kalifornia Ghost" or the sadness expressed in "Reconstruction"?
I see every one I love/they're weeping/as I watch them from above/we're flying/and these lives have been displaced/drowned by the flood that came/took everything
Whether he is talking about a lonely young lady ("College Girl") or the wonder of discovering true love("Crystal Clear"), Davidson has found a perfect vehicle with this musical unit, and hopefully, we will be hearing a lot from them.

"Turning Back" the 6th song on the ODR4 album, was featured on NPR's Eight-Forty-Eight radio program.
"So Far Away" Appears on the Braun and Brains song-writting collective, The Independents.
"Reconstruction" a song written in tribute to the victims and survivors of Hurricane Katrina, appears on a self-produced compilation of Chicago artists. The proceeds from the sale of this CD will go to help the survivors.

One and Only is a song-writing project started by Ollie Davidson. Writing music since the age of 16, Ollie has finally come into his own, mixing his beautifully crafted songs with soul-stirring vocals to create a sound that is unique yet familiar. With a love for non-for-profits causes, Ollie Davidson co-formed his own NPO, Compassionista Productions, whose mission is to help raise awareness for other worthy causes and social issues by organizing benefits in the art and music community to help gain funds and exposure for these organizations. So far, Ollie has arranged or performed for benefits in Spain, San Francisco, Chicago and Madison to help the victims of the Tsunami, the Sudanese refugees, and the Gulf Coast hurricane victims. Ollie also produced a compilation of mostly Chicago musicians to benefit the victims of the Hurricanes. The CD is currently available and more information can be found at www.compassionista.org.
Ollie's music has appeared on NPR, Music 4 iPods, and most recently, his song "So Far Away" was included on the Brains and Braun Songwriters Collective.
