Azura

Azura is the bedroom project of 16 year old Lauren Coutts. 

"Songwriting had always come quite naturally to me. From a very young age, I was always imitating sounds and echo's. As I learnt about the way in which words influence people I fell more and more in love with lyricism in music. I'd find myself terribly distracted in school and I filled all of my books with poetry and songs. However, it wasn't until I was 15 that I decided I wanted to create music full time. I put my first two songs 'Spiderwebs' and 'Dawn' on Triple J Unearthered and when they were featured in an international commercial for Wine Australia I knew that things were getting serious. That's when I started gigging all around Brisbane under the name 'Oh, Traveller.' Being a finalist at the Brisbane Discove'd competition has also been a highlight for me, it earned me some well needed studio time."

"Recently I've began taking my music to a wider audience by performing on a national and international stage. At the moment I'm working on an EP (and finishing my final year at school). Azura is my latest project and the name that I plan to stick with for the rest of my career. After much hard work I am excited to finally have some well produced music that I can proudly promote."
