One Bad Habit
"Self Titled"
Twin Dragon Records
$$$$

This release from the Tucson, Arizona based band covers a vast amount of topics from the heavy and depressing to the light and airy. It is a combination that leaves the listener one hundred percent musically fulfilled. The song on the cd, "April Fool" is about a horrible crime that happened to a friend of the band. It is sad and touching. One song I really liked was "Blue Lullaby." It had me imagining myself in a smoke-filled speakeasy. The track "SunShine," conjures up rays of happiness and bright laughter. This is a great cd! If you have "one bad habit" let it be this band!

"One Bad Habit"

The biggest flaw of One Bad Habit's self-titled CD, is that it only has 10 tracks. Just when you really get into the groove of one of the best new rock bands to appear on the scene since Sheryl Crow, it's over. At the end of the CD, you're left howling for more; naked, crazy, and prepared to track down One Bad Habit so you can make them play for you all day long. Then the repeat function on your stereo kicks in, and your inner beast is calmed for another 45 minutes.

One Bad Habit is a Tucson-based band whose music was born when alternative rock musicians Harvey Tom, Tom Ellis, and Robert Moritz joined with trance/hip-hop influenced vocalist Diana Gen. The result is a dynamic pop rock sound. While the music rocks you, Diana's voice traverses the funky, the soft and sultry. Their deeply personal lyrics penned from life’s experience, and then joined to melodies in a matrimony that turn poems and stories into songs we can relate to. Their songs are a wonderful and creative musical work that displays their artistry for unifying and complimenting those that would contrast. It’s the way OBH’s songs reach out to those who listen and relate that sets them apart from all others. OBH has released three songs from their upcoming CD which will be released in March of 2008.
