This band features the music of three vocalists and five musicians who came together to deliver concious lyrics resonating with clear, vibrating harmony served over a deep, pulsating heartbeat that is sure to stimulate your intellect while caressing the essence of your soul. This fusion of distinctive talent brings over thirty-five years of combined experience to the music industry. One's goal is to enlighten as many as possible with lyrics that depict real life situations, struggles, and obstacles to overcome.

*Warren "Barney Rebel" Barnes

---Born Warren Barnes in St. Catherine, Jamaica, Barney immigrated to the United States in the early 80’s. His experience in the music industry began with The Roughneck Massive a reggae hip hop group based out of Hartford Connecticut. Barney has also worked with Bass-A-Gon, Lighting Bond, Sneaky Pete, Tribal Ritual of Brooklyn New York and also disc jockeyed at a local radio station. Most of Barney Rebel’s time has been spent in the recording studio – even recording a single with veteran reggae artist Sugar Monoti. Rebel’s passion for the music was kindled by the beautiful voice of his mother, Cynthia Gordon, who was a
talented singer and writer and also his uncle who was recording artist. Honorebel, as he is often called keeps music positive. He recognizes the power of the word sound and the role of an artist.
He is heavily influenced by Brigadier Jerry, Burning Spear, Wailers and Denis Brown. He is currently a member of “One Band”, Connecticut’s premier roots reggae music group.

*Alphonso "Iyah Phanso" Walker

---From an early age Alphonso Walker has been fascinated with music. His vocal abilities are inspiring and uplifting, motivating many to stand up against injustice and inequality. His style can bedescribed as soothing, positive and enlightening.
Born on the island of Kingston, Jamaica, he found his inner voice at a time when war crimes and poverty reigned. Inspired by the legends of reggae, he was motivated to work with music to help and teach future generations how they can alleviate the problems face by people today. With music in his heart, he endeavors to use his majestic voice as a tool to inspire others to do what’s best for them.
His impressive voice and charismatic performances are genuine, magnificent and one of a kind. Alphonso has many years of experience as a singer and harmonizer. Currently he is one of the lead singers of “One Band”, Connecticut’s premier roots reggae music group. His road to his success has not always been easy but with Jah in control, victory awaits down the road.

*Owen "Owen Irie" Simmonds

---Owen Irie was born to Olive Simmonds in Kingston, Jamaica. He has always had a love for music and his style and energy has often times been linked to reggae great Dennis Brown. At the age of 14 he became a self-taught bass guitarist. For years Owen has been writing smash hit songs including songs depicting his life as young man being harrassed by the system.
Owen Irie's debut release occurred in 1995 with the Connecticut smash hit, "Good Morning Sunshine". After achieving enormous success in Hartford, he recorded "Give Thanks & Praise" at Tuff Gong Studios.
He has performed on the same stage with Burning Spear, Buju Banton, Third World, Toots and the Maytals, Cocoa Tea, Yellow Man, The Itals, Alton Ellis, Luciano and Israel Vibration.
Owen's music is available in record shops along the northeast USA including Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.

*Kenrick "Bassie" Sutton

---Kenrick Sutton began his career as a bass player 10 years ago. He has become one of the most talented sought after bass players in the reggae industry. Exploding in the New England area, his musical expertise and knowledge are like no other, and he is quickly becoming one of Hartford’s brightest stars. His style can often be described as warm, mellow and free-flowing.
Born on the island of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, he arrived in Connecticut 6 years ago. Growing up with music in his heart and soul, his love for Roots Reggae music inspired him to picked up the bass guitar and self taught himself to play, while in the process becoming one of the most impressive and charismatic bass guitar players.
He is heavily influenced by Aston “Family Man” Barret of Bob Marley and the Wailers, Burning Spear, The Gladiators, Nasio Fontaine, Luciano, Dennis Brown, Mikey General, Gregory Isaacs, Black Uhuru, Israel Vibration, Cocoa Tea, Sly and Robbie just to name a few. He is currently a member of “One Band”, Connecticut’s premiere roots reggae music group.
