Bio

With The One on the vocals and Geoffrey on production the outcome is some of the most satisfying evidence to prove that hip hop is not dead; in fact it's alive in any vocal booth where these inseparable artists meet. Don't make the mistake of believing that this is just another soul vocalists or hip hop artist. The One will rightfully object.

"I'm not here to make R&B music, neo soul or some preconceived notion of what people want music to be. If I feel like death metal polka, I'll do it. My way. His upcoming album release, Superpsychosexy, embodies the love of all musical genres in such a funky manner that an orgy or two may pop off when songs like Milkshake Thick or Drippin' blast from speakers.

Not much is known about The One and for good reason. Being an artists' artist, he believes that music should speak in ways that casually talking about it won't do it any justice. Coupled with the synergy from Geoffrey on the production, in which The One admits is like his evil twin, comes a complete artist not afraid to expand past musical boundaries.

The secret?

He figures they don't exist. I don't care if I'm not the greatest singer in the world. I use my voice as an instrument to express my feelings. I'm not trying to be Pavarotti or Marvin Gaye. I'm successfully being myself.

"Shit knocks." Phonte Coleman (Little Brother)

"Sounds like a modern day version of The Mack." (BPM Magazine)

"Put the genre thesarus down and press play as shimmers of SA-RA and the Detroit stylings of Dilla and Waajeed vicariously meet on this funktacular release to gritty, guilty, pleasure." Adam Karzawa (Giant Step)
