one f

one f is a San Francisco-based trio who have been actively gigging since mid 2006. one f has been described as listening to "Dinosaur Jr. vs. Pink Floyd, while being refereed by Pavement." one f is not confined by a particular sound or genre, but flows organically between them. Quick changes in mood, from sincere balladry to all-out rocking, combine seamlessly into a cohesive whole, often in the space of a single song. It's kinda Progie!

one f started as an acoustic ensemble in 2001 when the opportunity to play at a local café presented itself and continued in various forms through the years releasing three recordings and playing many shows, until September of 2009 when Kyle Plyler, drummer/multi-instumentalist song writer, joined the band upon the release of one f's first LP - Magic Burgrs Donuts. With the addition of Alex Gottschalk (bass/vocals) later that year, one f finally felt complete, . . . like they had finally arrived and a true collaboration had been formed. Such was the feedback from family and friends alike and just a year and twenty some odd shows later, one f is heading into the studio to record a 7" and full length follow up to 2009's MBD.
