Bio
Our current set list covers many genres. We cover songs from George Jones, to Michael Jackson, to Nickelback, to Sublime, to Jason Aldean, to Jimmy Hendrix, to Lit and Prince.
What sets us apart from other bands is that our diverse musical backgrounds blend together into a style that has something in it for everyone. We love what we do, and we love to entertain the people who are there to see us perform. When the crowd starts having a good time, we go into a groove that has been described as magical. We feed off of the emotions of the crowd, and they can definitely tell when we get into the groove zone.
In November of 2010, a friend of one of the band wives asked if we could throw together a group to play a few songs at a fundraiser for her five year-old daughter. The child, Sadie, desperately wanted to be able to ride bikes with her siblings, but she couldn't because she had Spina bifida and didn't have the strength to pedal a bike. Her mother was trying to raise $1700 to buy her a motorized bike. One For the Road formed to help her reach her goal. The "Bike For Sadie" Fundraiser was a success, and we turned a few heads with the group we put together. From there, we continued playing benefit shows for local people until we were confident enough to book a paying gig. Since then we have helped raise over $30,000 for charity in our first year, and every show we played was better than the one before it. We had an opportunity to open for Jamey Johnson after only 10 months together as a band, and we are now starting to see that our dream of being professional musicians is not so far-fetched.
