One man ran is the product of my move to south Florida 2 years ago. My band in NJ, Starvin Marvin, was playing out twice a week but my career as a computer tech and web designer took me away from it all. This time away gave me a chance to experiment with some music I had written that did not fit with my bands agenda.
I have not come up with a category or a word to describe exactly what style I am emitting yet... My biggest musical influence is Sublime, followed closely by Bad Religion and Blind Melon. Although not always apparent in my music, I am driven and inspired heavily by reggae, ska, and punk rock music, including bands like The Misfits, Wailing Souls, Steel Pulse, VooDoo Glowskulls, The Toasters, and The Descendents.
I enjoy captivating melodies and clever vocal harmonies as well as a sick guitar solo here and there. I try to pull this out in my music.
Basically, I am just passing time down here in FL until I eventually make it back to NJ to reunite with a few carefully slected former band mates to form in our minds... "the perfect band".
Our drive is inspired by the vision to incorporate our diverse passions for reggae, punk, ska, rock, blues, industrial, and funk together to make a glorious sound... Stay tuned folks... you haven't heard anything yet...
