Bio
The idea for One Moment From Glory (OMFG!) came to life over summer nights and beers. The group’s initial members, Jared and Steve, both played in local bands but were interested in joining forces. After years of playing original material, they decided it was time to take a step in the opposite direction. Jared and Steve began practicing together in October 2011. After a few practices, they began looking for other members to round out the group.
The first addition was Southern Belle Allison, or “Herb”, brought in to sing for “ya’ll.” Allison had just graduated from University of Michigan and was moving to Chicago. Shortly after, the group found bass player Konstantin, or “K-man”, a seasoned veteran of the cover scene, who brought international experience.K-man came all the way from Latvia to rock for you!
The group played as a 4-piece for several months but knew something was still missing. Enter Mike on keys. Mike had played keys/synth in cover bands in the Detroit area before moving to Chicago, and was able to learn the material quickly. With all the pieces in place, the band was ready to bring the show to the masses. Playing songs from artists including: Rihanna, Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, LMFAO!, Gym Class Heroes, Pitbull, No Doubt, The Raconteurs, Paramore, Jessie J, and many more, OMFG! is looking to become one of Chicagoland’s premiere cover/party bands in 2012.
