"Letter of reference"

To whom it may concern:

I absolutely adore One Night Stand. They are the only band in the area I will actually leave town for. They are amazing. The have great chemistry and such a wide variety of songs. They truly do have something for everyone.

I host a radio show. I've had them on the air twice with me now promoting some of their bigger shows. They are always so professional, and they can play on the big stage, and in my small studio.

This past weekend, they opened up for Emerson Drive and they really got the crowd up and going. The whole evening was splendid and One Night Stand was a big reason for that.

When Dennis Lemmer co-founded an Illinois Valley musical group 10 years ago, little did he know it would evolve into the five-member country-rock band One Night Stand.
"It all started when me and (drummer) Mike Cioni joined a musical friend of ours to open for country artist Gary Allan," Lemme said. "We got together and came up with about a dozen songs for the show. The band name came about because it was a one-night stand. We were only going to do it the one time, and that would be it. We had so much fun and liked what we'd created musically that we decided to keep the band going."

One Night Stand -- which has experienced some personnel changes over the years -- currently consists of rhythm guitarist Lemmer (Peru), drummer Cioni (La Salle), vocalist Aimee Jo Brandner (Granville), bassist Mike Ohlson (Marseilles) and lead guitarist Mike Garrison (Joliet).

"We describe our shows as being high energy, fun and layered with great harmonies," Brandner said.

One Night Stand will open for Grammy-nominated group Emerson Drive at the Streator Firefighters Local 56 annual country music concert Saturday. One Night Stand has also opened in the past for such country celebrities such as Dierks Bentley, Rhett Akins, Chad Brock, Jeff Carson, David Kirsh, Daryle Singletary, The BoDeans, Jason Aldean and Chris Cagle.

"We were so honored when the Streator Firefighters concert promoter, Jean Wilson, asked us to open for Emerson Drive," Brandner said. "They're such a talented group, have a huge fan base, everyone knows their songs and we're extremely excited to be granted this amazing opportunity."

One Night Stand's performance will include a mix of new country, Southern rock, classic rock and original music from "Hit The Ground Running," the group's current CD.

" 'Hit The Ground Running' has seven original tracks and two cover songs," Lemmer said. "We listened to so many songs before we were able to choose just the right tracks for the CD. As a result, we've been blessed with a proposal of possibly re-recording one of our songs later this year in Nashville."
