For your ears only-
The New Years started off with a bang, courtesy of ONE NIGHT STAND. This band is headed up by B.J. DeMali, and his lovely wife Jennifer. The chemistry between the two is awesome and really contributes to the overall performance. B.J plays a wicked lead guitar, and with Jennifer's booming voice blows you out of your seat. B.J also ahowed us that he is a capable vocalist. Jennifer played organ and harp on a few tunes which added even more variety. Rounding out the band is Drummer Joe Mecele. Joe is a powerhouse drummer whose style and ability reminded us of some of the super band drummers of the sixties. You will have no problem hearing each and every beat Joe produces. One more mention goes to Tom Benjamin, a very talented musician, who did a primo job on bass guitar all night. One Night Stand covered the gambit of 60's, 70's & 80's, by Pink Floyd, The Pretenders, Rolling Stones, Heart, and more. One highlight of the evening was their outstanding rendition of the Stones "Gimme Shelter" They nailed it perfectly! But just when we thought the evening's entertainment was quite complete, Sweet Bev Perron joined the band for a roof raising version of "Chain of Fools".
The harmony between Bev and Jennifer was unbelievable and put everyone in the house on their feet. We hate to say it, but if you weren't there you missed one hell-of-a show. Thanks to One Night Stand for starting our New Year rockin, rollin and kickin ass (we wouldn't have it any other way) ROCK ON!!!!

Bio

One Night Stand was put together with members of three different bands. They are all together, and commited as a band can get.
This groups influences are as eclectic as they come, from Prince, and the Beatles, Stevie Ray Vaughn, and the Clash, to Alanis, and Motley Crue.
The connection between all members is one that can be seen and felt from the audience. Jennifer and B.J. are a married couple, which adds heart and soul to the songs they cover.
One Night Stand does a great job on the requested covers, such as What's Up by 4 non Blondes, Bobby McGee by Janis Joplin, and Jenny by Tommy Tutone, but really shine on the not always heard songs like, Heartless by Heart, Middle of the Road by The Pretenders, Gimme Shelter by The Stones, and Wicked Game by Chris Isaak. Jennifer's strong pleasing voice blends with B.J.'s classic guitar sound, Joe's powerhouse drumming, and Tony's backbone of a bass.
