Bio

In the city dubbed as the "Live Music Capital of the South", One Resistance brings both a unique and captivating sound to the Austin music scene. Frontman Dino Panichi started singing at the age of three, but didn’t get serious about music until he picked up a guitar at the age of sixteen. A natural with a six string in his hands, Dino put together a band with his friends in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio and started writing and singing his own songs and they built enough of a following to land a spot on the show Star Search with the band, Mind over Mind. Unfortunately, an illness in the family required Dino to take over the family business and he put his music aside to run it for the next sixteen years. But the music kept its strong hold on him as he fronted several bands in the Cleveland area, writing and performing his own songs very popular with the crowd such as “Millionaire”, “You Belong to Me”, and “Big Mess”. Two years ago, he woke up and asked himself, “How am I living my life?”, and he made the decision to close his business and move to Austin, Texas to pursue his dream once again. He started hitting the open mic venues where his powerful voice evoked comparisons to Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder and garnered a small following. While auditioning for local bands, he met Jeremy Kondrath, an enigmatic and energetic bass/rhythm guitarist and vocalist. Jeremy provides the perfect harmonic melody to Dino’s deeper voice. Originally from the Detroit area, Jeremy formed the band Mama Smoke named after a fire that destroyed his practice studio in his mother's basement. Like many other musicians living the dream, he made his way south to Austin and played in a successful cover band until he met Dino and joined One Resistance. His influences include Muse, White Stripes, and The Doors. Their music is a powerful fusion of alternative and acoustic rock. The stories they tell are of life's trials and tribulations, telling it like it is, and the parallel worlds we all live in.
