This five members band is a gathering of instruments blending together to create a smooth jazz sound and simple means “Unified” which portrays the music of this band.They have gained popularity with their smooth sound, and their jazzy renditions of familiar tunes.

Biography

One Sound Smooth Jazz Band of Savannah was formed in 2008. The five members are long time friends and have played together on different occasions. One Sound is a gathering of instruments blending together to create a smooth jazz sound and simply means “Unified” which portrays the music of this band.

Thomas Stokes III plays the Bass, Jermaine Baker plays the drums, Anthony Jones the keyboard, and James Lee Smith the lead guitarist, and Richard Sherrington is the trombone player. One Sound plays smooth jazz primarily, however their versatility allows them expansion into other categories of jazz standards. They have gained popularity with their smooth sound, and their jazzy renditions of some familiar tunes. One Sound is influenced by the sounds of such great artists as: Wayman Tisdale, Grover Washington Jr., Fourplay, Herbie Hancock, Earl Klugh, Fred Hammond, and Marcus Miller.
