ONETOTHE4THPOWER begins in Hawai`i. Randy , Gregg , and Byl have a dream of sharing their music with the world.
They start performing in magical places like the Chinese Cemetery in Manoa, and on a water tower up on Tantalus, a mountain overlooking the city of Honolulu.
Their first audiences are made up of high school friends and friends of friends who share the same love for this new music. It is a sound created with a guitar that has only four strings for bass, bongos, a nylon string guitar and three voices filled with a youthful love and passion for the music they play.
Writing songs and creating music become the center of their lives. The three friends, with their commitment to see their dreams fulfilled, travel to Whitter, California, near Los Angeles, where they meet Lane, a songwriter, guitarist, and vocalist and their blend in music and friendship is perfect.
They play music for many years , meet many interesting people and travel to many places all over the United States.
Although the band members go their separate ways, their love for the music they play and the dream of sharing this music with the world never dies.
And so, they reunite in 2004 and out of this reunion comes this recording. Today, the band consists of songwriters/ musicians, Randy Yamabe on bass, Gregg Soleta on drums, Lane Langford on guitar, Byl Leonard on guitar.
Their intention is clear . . . to share a message that awaits you in places that can only be reached by traveling with . . . . . . . . ONETOTHE4THPOWER.
