Bio

Onetothree is a Vermont alternative rock band formed in late 2009. Originally comprising vocalist Josef Bourgeois, bassist Harry Foster, and guitarist Andy Decelles, Onetothree gained its name and distinctive rhythms when percussionist Cayal Walker was forcibly dragged in two months later. Since then, Onetothree has embodied a memorable and exhilarating sound with precise vocal melodies, catchy hooks and driving crescendos harkening back to the physical, emotional rock of the 1990s, with a modern penchant for experimentation and formulaic progressivism. (We're not entirely sure what that means either.) They've played gigs and festivals around New England and New York including the Harvard Square Music Festival in Boston and playing a show in the historic Haskell Opera House located on the border of the US and Canada. After the resignation of Guitarist Andy Decelles, OnetoThree has moved forward. They went on to record a third EP over the summer of 2012. During the summer they played multiple shows in Boston and various events.
Although Harry Foster's first career was that of a child model and actor, vocal training from the age of six has branded Harry with tremendous musical ability. Throughout his childhood he honed his talent through performance in musicals and community theatre productions. He first picked up a bass guitar at eleven and has not set the instrument down since then.
Josef Bourgeois grew up with musical productions, the first of which he participated at 8 resulting in his trained baritone range. Joe is a remarkably quick learner- most people would have trouble believing he hadn't played guitar before joining Onetothree. That quality also comes in handy when writing songs; Joe can produce melodies which complement the instrumentals off-the-cuff, before he can even fit words to them. What's most important to Joe is the connection with his band and fans. He blames his combination of melody and poetry on his brothers for having him listen to bands like 311, radiohead, smashing pumpkins, and third eye blind since a very young age.
Cayal Walker is the youngest of three boys. One older brother became a DJ, the other a breakdancer. Cayal likes to think of himself as falling somewhere between the two, moving rhythmically to a beat made by doing just that. After starting at the age of 8, he developed skill in jazz and latin styles, playing for school and for community events. Whether he's genetically predisposed or his skill is a result of nearly a decade behind the kit, he brought a great deal of it with him when he joined up. In addition to supplying groovy rhythms, Cayal helps write lyrics and does odd jobs like shirt-making, audio production, album design, monetary management, photography, and website design.
