The band has two releases. The first is a studio record comprised of the band along with several other studio musicians. The second was recorded live at the University of Tennessee and truly portrays the trio sound.

Based out of Knoxville, TN, One Way Strut combines three completely different backgrounds to create a fresh, new sound that is difficult to forget. Dan with a blues background brings a soulful passion along with melodic guitar lines and a crisp vocal. Noah keeps tradition alive as a Jazz Major as well as a Jazz connoisseur. Mike is a Mo-town guy which is easily seen by his playing style. Herbie Hancock as well as the Jimi Hendrix Experience are the biggest influences on the band, yet all three members listen to a wide variety of music. Dan and Noah met freshman year in the main courtyard at the University of Tennessee, Dan was playing for a small crowd and Noah approached and began jamming. Chemistry between the two was instant and the search for a bass player began. After several attempts by other players Mike Hedgepeth was found and the rest is history.
