In a country where it is almost impossible to produce a record, even for the great music and most Venezuelan record companies have disappeared, ONICE its way to the back of the Editor WORLD SOUND BANK to formally present his new board “Restauracion “; available in all major search engines worldwide. An album that goes in search of, and universal cooler than previous editions Latin American urban concept.
In 27 years of hard road ONICE aware of the existence of more than 90 artists from reggae in Venezuela, which address the same musical concept, it has achieved an identity that leads to recognition as a group of Latin sounds, without complexes take the elements modernism and the computer gives them, achieving a purely electronic sound in reggae that unlike any grouping of gender in Spanish there across the continent.
The new album is futuristic and Onice particular is how to express the concepts of music greats like Maná (Cachito), Bob Marley (Chant Down Babylon Spanish and instrumental), and Toots & The Maytals (Bam Bam) versions executed his way to a soothing, sweet and refreshing way.

Festival Nuevas Bandas Miranda recibe su nueva edición

El Festival Nuevas Bandas de Venezuela, con vigencia de 1999, regresará este fin de semana con una nutrida programación de actos emergentes que buscan visibilidad en el país.
Desde las 11 de la mañana (hora Venezuela) de este sábado 5 de agosto el sitio elegido para las presentaciones fue el Centro Cultural Chacao. Al menos 10 agrupaciones entrarán en competencia para este año.
“El reto nuestro siempre es hacer un evento grande y de entrada libre. Y lo pasamos”, explica Félix Allueva, presidente de la Fundación Nuevas Bandas.
Entre los actos invitados se destacan Anorexia Isan, Los Delorean, Capitán Mostacho, The Mack of Blood, Dirty Trizzy, Spartans, Hecatombe, Delito, Alto Pana, Tukuca Zakayama, Onice y One Chot. - Confidencial Noticias

El contenido de Gran Sabana Dub es el repertorio completo del álbum original llevado a versión reggae: Viaje de ANG, Encuentros, Vida Cotidiana, Calipso de Luna, Vertientes y Gran Sabana, más un track de Alexander González de la canción Vida Cotidiana. El lanzamiento contiene además la versión más reciente de “Forastero”, una colaboración de Ónice para la campaña “Música por Medicinas” que se realiza en el país para la adquisición y donativo de medicinas. El disco cierra con otro tributo a la leyenda del rock venezolano Pedro Pérez Show PP´S con el tema “Camino a Jamaica” además de su versión Dub.
“Gran Sabana Dub” es un trabajo realizado cien por ciento en Venezuela, un proyecto que comenzó en Enero de 2016, recorriendo varios estudios de grabación, como el clásico Maxistudios en los Palos Grandes, los reconocidos Audioplace Estudios, Berenjena Estudios y MWA Estudios donde se realizó el matrizaje final de la obra. Recientemente lanzado en las plataformas digitales más reconocidas, este pasado 14 de julio del presente año, y apuntando a un formato físico para los coleccionistas y amantes del disco palpable.

Talking about Onice is to recognize the history of reggae in Spanish, because they have been for more than thirty years becoming part of the Venezuelan and international scene, and this genre has gained enough followers to encompass a massive community in the Hispanic geography. Being known in the musical world as a Latin or Rock in Spanish group, but Onice has been trying hard to be well known overseas in order that reggae in Spanish was also recognized as a universal musical genre.
Formed on February 22, 1987, the band has a long history without interruption, accompanied by five full-length albums that are Capas Concéntricas, the first reggae album produced by a Venezuelan group (1994), followed by La Verdad, then Ha Llegado el Momento, Restauracion and more recently Gran Sabana Dub in tribute to the renowned musician Miguel Noya. Also, an endless number of participations in compiled albums, in national and international festivals. Its members are Daniel González on lead guitar, Chico Miranda on rhythm guitar, Genis Miranda on keyboards, Franklin Díaz on drums, Israel Hernández on bass and Zulbely Miranda on Backing vocals. They recreate a musical concept with a global sound adaptable to all kinds of audiences without distinction of age and social status.
With the impulse of globalization, it is not easy to differentiate between artists who are talented from those who are a media product, but to appreciate a performance of Onice is to live a memorable experience while enjoying good music that is made with effort, musical knowledge and discipline. Staying in the arena of entertainment for three decades, makes them among the most representative artists of the Venezuelan urban movement and gives them a credential of top exponents in Reggae.
