Despite its slow-burn dreaminess this psych/folk beauty is rich with complex arrangement. With each listen you pick up more levels in the gauzy tapestry. -Mark Anthony Brennan - Ride The Tempo
Back in early 2014, we were entranced by the experimental, psych-folk debut from Vancouver’s Only Wolf (Sean Parker) so we’re thrilled to finally have some new material from this lone wolf. “Pirate Drones,” the first single from his forthcoming record TRUST, is a captivating listen and sounds like a messy battle on the high seas. Parker fights the swirlingly chaos of synths and clings to the debris of a broken (relation) ship, before admitting what has gone wrong: “You can take what you want, so you take what you want / I don’t know why you don’t know this at all? And you don’t know why I don’t want it at all.” – Laura Stanley - Greyowl Point
Chemicals showcases a particularly trippy strain of psych-folk. The instrumentation is fairly simple with its guitar-centred ditties, sleepy vocals and sparse percussion, but it's given a left-field twist with rustling field recordings, cavernous reverb and flanging robo effects.
-Alex Hudson - Exclaim
The subtleties bound in this New Age ambient-folk sends Only Wolf on whisked meanderings through the air-firm fogginess. Mistaken for the turning of the ol’ buttermilk sky, sheets are drawn over dawn’s weary countenance as the phrasings of our divided nebulosities collect in oaken bowls placed under cracks, collecting the reechoes that diminute from the firmament’s blinking eyes. Reticent declivities break from the eddies that rain down as spaced-out vocal timbres, gathering in our luminous chests and metamorphosing as transcendental fireflies. They escape from our mouths in all the colours of imagined alchemical exclamations. -Joshua Robinson: - Weird Canada

Bio
Only Wolf is Canadian artist Sean Parker. The solitude reflected in his moniker mirrors the personal, contemplative nature of his psych-folk fusion. Only Wolf’s music is both a meditation on transhuman desire and a labyrinth of longing, incanting between pulsating guitar work and electronic drums.
Only Wolf’s droning guitar and downtempo beats put you into an hypnotic state as his vocals evoke the delicacy of Bon Iver’s croons and the atmospheric, electronic folk of Mount Eerie. Each tune pulls you into an echo chamber of introversion, with a slow-moving blanket fog enveloping you into an ambiguous, lucid trip–an impressive reminder of the textures Thom Yorke achieved on The Eraser. As a sound sculptor, Only Wolf moulds smooth synth work, dancing the line of sober and not, never quite allowing the audience to wake up from their trance.
Living between Vancouver and Spain, Only Wolf has played three European tours, managing to play in over forty six cities across twelve different countries and as a supporting act for such names as Explosions in the Sky, Ian William Craig, Steve Gunn and Kaki King.
Only Wolf's second Lp Trust, is expected to be be released in Vancouver with indie label Kingfisher Bluez in September 2017. Jesse Creed a.k.a. The-passenger did the mix-down and mastering and is featured on the release, playing his Synclavier 9600
