Detroit upstart OnlyOneLJ makes his debut on Holiday Season.
New to Holiday Season, Detroit native OnlyOneLJ unleashes his new solo EP. Dubbed Last Of The Legends, an ode to the greats he draws inspiration from. Coming in at 6-tracks with production handled by Paul Cabbin (Bishop Lamont, Xzibit, Bobby Brown) and Professor X (Jaheim), LJ unleashes some heavy bars over a medley of smooth and uptempo instrumentals. Creatively influenced by music, fashion, sports and television, LJ is prepared to make his mark on the music industry. Born Lewis F. Acuff Jr., it is no mystery how he got the name “ONLYONELJ”. Coming from a long line of artistic and musical creativity, the “Motown” native was destined to have a special set of musical talents. Equally blended with both sides of 8 mile (suburban and urban), he is able to capture the true meaning of hip-hop as a Detroit artist. Triumphant despite the struggle that the inner city of Detroit faces, LJ prefers to uplift his city and shed a positive light on his beloved place of birth through his music. Born on Halloween (October 31st, 1992), the eerie nature that surrounds this holiday is the same mysterious presence that supplies the flame to the fiery drive inside of LJ. - DJ HOLIDAY

Raised within the city of Detroit for a period of his life, he has exactly what it takes to endure what the music industry has in store. The survivor mentality and hustler’s ambition, which is naturally instilled in him, gives him exactly what he needs to leave the booth blazing. What sets him apart from other artists within the city is the fact that he has the state of mind to leave the struggle behind. He chooses not to focus his music around the negative connotations that surround his hometown and uses his culturally diverse background to target audiences of all sorts. The “other side of 8 mile” is what gives LJ his ability to adapt to any environment, and create a feel good atmosphere for all listeners. He gives true meaning to the word artist as he embraces all music types, sounds and genres, and spends quality time catering to all musical outlooks.
Rapping since the tender age of 8 years old, it is no question why his musical talent is so far advanced at such a young age. Equipped with educational values, LJ continues to pursue his education at Clark Atlanta University, while dedicating any spare time to his musical infatuation. He provides a well articulated uplifting, feel-good flow filled with witty punch lines, by combining his genuine passion for music with his love for, and interest in entertainment.
