Only Only have emerged from the bedrock of the West Coast with the release of their debut EP ‘Placeholder’.
The Los Angeles quartet can only be found on Instagram and consists of Americans Emory Duncan and Taylor Devorsky, Leonard Herron, of Tokyo, Japan, and Sasha Ludyashin, of Saint Petersburg, Russia. All met when their paths crossed together in Los Angeles.
Blending acoustic folk rock and vintage Britpop elements, Only Only serve up a colourful batch of high-octane energy and cool surf pop songs. They possess an infectious and dynamic rush of cutting-edge sound and energy.
Duncan (guitar, vocals) and Ludyashin (guitar, bass, production) balance the songwriting, while Herron (lead guitar, vocals) and Devorsky (drums, voice of reason) stylize the band’s attitude and character. Only Only is an indie rock outfit that emerged from the bedrock of Los Angeles. The four piece includes Emory Duncan and Taylor Devorsky, both of whom attended the University of Texas simultaneously, yet crossed paths by a twist of fate after relocating to Los Angeles. There they united with Sasha Ludyashin, of Arkhangelsk, Russia, and Jona Bloss, also from Texas, both of whom followed vocations to California.
Duncan (guitar, vocals) and Ludyashin (lead guitar, production) balance the songwriting, while Bloss (bass, vocals) and Devorsky (drums, voice of reason) stylize the band's attitude and character. As a collective, they bring over thirty years of vision and performance to the table.
The band's eclectic roots serve as a uniquely colorful and authentically West Coast backdrop to draw from. Blending indie rock hooks with acoustic folk influences and elements of vintage stadium britpop, Only Only possess an infectious and dynamic rush of cutting-edge sound and energy.
