Only When It Rains

Biography pages never seem to achieve their goals. Superficially, the facts presented seem to endeavour to give the reader some idea of the artist, where they are from, where they are going, what their beliefs are.
Biographies usually fail dismally in this attempt, falling far short of portraying any real sense of the artist and even more so if the artist relies heavily on the stimulation of one’s senses. Never has this fact rung more true than trying to put on paper the essence that is Only When It Rains.

The band has been entertaining audiences with their melodic rock sounds since 2009. Described by many a music critic as “very tight knit”, these five musicians fuse their diverse artistic personalities and talents perfectly together to produce music and performances which is best described as an assault on all the senses.

Their live performances are nothing short of electric. Overloaded with energy their enthusiasm is contagious and they give new meaning to the phrase “rock the house”.

Though seemingly inexperienced, these musicians have a clear goal of what they want to achieve and how to set out reaching it. What they lack in experience they make up for in talent, ambition and passion.

Being professionally trained musicians, they understand how music works. This knowledge and their chameleon-like ability to adapt and diversify makes for a refreshing new sound.

How would one then best define Only When It Rains? Friedrich Nietzsche said “Without music life would be a mistake.” – this band resonates these words.
At the risk of sounding arrogant, no, maybe confident instead...they’re good at what they do, they’re very good...
