Bio

The stellar guitar and vocal styles of GLENN SHERMAN & legendary guitar, piano and vocal styles of DAVE CATALANO make up the sound of "ON THE TRAIN TO PHILLY." Before joining forces years ago, like many talented musicians, they have had their share of experience within the ever changing music industry. Don't take my word for it though... just check out some of their amazing credits!

Some of Glenn Sherman's most notable experience has been the Jon Brown 70 Years Coming Acid Blues Records (EPK on youtube-http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SoDMRDOJ3ZA). He has collaborated with famed producer Tom Rothrock whose credits include Beck, Elliot Smith, James Blunt, The Toadies and many others. Glenn played guitar and co-wrote most songs on the record. He recorded Mr. Brown's vocals in Factory in Elizabeth NJ with a mobile recording set up. One of his songs ("30 days") , which I co-wrote and played guitar on, was featured in a Showtime movie called "Desert Saints." The album received heavy airplay in New York on WFUV and throughout the country.

He was also a member of the Tony Trischka Band-Bend signed to Rounder Records. He played guitar on the whole record and co-wrote 2 songs. Tony is very well known in the acoustic world. He’s most famous for venturing outside of traditional Banjo musical forms and being Bela Fleck’s main influence and banjo teacher. Glenn toured extensively around eastern US and Europe for 3 years with this band!

Adam Pascal-Civilian Shk Boom records
• Co-wrote whole album , played guitar and Co-produced this record. Adam became famous as one of the original male leads in the broadway show RENT. He also starred in the movie version. Played around NYC , some college gigs, several tv appearances (ABC’s The View, CBS’ Morning Show, WPIX’s Moring News.)

• Grow - unreleased album recorded and produced by Tom Rothrock and Rob Schnapf. They played a lot in NYC (Mercury Lounge, Limelight, Luna Lounge) and toured around the states.

He also played guitar for Roman Carter's album which was released in 2008.

DAVID CATALANO:
David was born somewhere on the planet earth. He has been involved in music ever since. Every human being that has come in contact with him knows he has a musical gift!!! If you know him... You never question him or his abilities.... He's that talented!!! And yeah, he's had his share of experience with the labels and collaborated with with amazing talent such as Todd Rundgren but I think even Todd has to be impressed with the musicality of On The Train To Philly!
