On This Day

”We are ON THIS DAY” is not a phrase that is just said but believed by the members of this Hard Rock band out of Houston, TX. On This Day was formed in the middle of 2008 and though members have come and gone. The core of the group has stayed the same with founding members Brock Dumoit (Drums), Brandon Hodges (Lead Guitar), and Matt Mathis (Lead Vocals/Rhythm Guitar). “Our songs are simple but hard and in your face…they will melt your face off!” exclaims the bands lead singer Matt Mathis. The band has collectively been in the “bizz” for 10 years their message is simple they want to make you realize where you were when you saw On This Day. With hard driving heartfelt vocals from Mathis and the gut wrenching riffs and beats from Dumoit and Hodges this band never disappoints. “We have something for all walks of life” says Mathis. From the slow melodies of “Lonely Metaphor” and “Beautiful Lady” to the face melting “Loaded Gun” and “Warning Signs” their shows are enjoyed by all. They have been lucky to play with some great bands like “Powerman 5000” “Parabelle” and “The Hunger” and have played all around Houston, San Antonio, and Louisiana.
