Bio

Open Blue's leader, guitar player and singer, Joseph Miller, grew up in Seattle hanging out with his legendary guitarist father. At the age of 3, Joseph was gifted with a custom built miniature Kepplinger drum set. He picked up guitar and started writing songs in high school.

Open Blue has a solid set of continuous original material along with a few covers by Joseph's dad, originating from Moby Grape.

After 2 years of writing, Open Blue has just finished their first album. Joseph has been working in the studio with producer, Aaron Mannino, and just finished mixing at Avast! with Johnny Sangster.

The Open Blue band consists of Joseph Miller on lead vocals and guitar, Luke Vance on drums and Charles Villan on bass and harmonies. Then, there is the occasional special guest, Jerry Miller of Moby Grape who supplied lead guitar for most of the upcoming album.

About Jerry:

Special Guest, Jerry Miller's music is psychedelic, rock and blues. The legendary guitarist and vocalist is a founding member of the 1960s San Francisco band, Moby Grape.

Jerry Miller went on to share the stage with many musical greats: Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and The Doors. He played with The Bobby Fuller Four and was lead guitar on "I fought the Law". His avid fans include Jimmy Page, Steven Stills, David Crosby, Taj Mahal, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant and David Fricke of Rolling Stone.

Rolling Stone voted him, one of the 100 greatest guitar players in the world.
