"Review clips"

"A recording as sophisticated, classy and hook-filled as 'Accidental' comes along so infrequently, we almost want to go door-to-door to tell people about it. This is a brilliant record, and all the more astonishing when one considers that Opening Axe's core
singer/songwriters are just 17. Only regular airplay stands between these two and stardom." MARK RHEAUME, CBC RADIO

"Opening Axe are 2 beautiful, talented ladies. It truly amazes me how great their CD 'Accidental' is. I was absolutely floored when I
listened to it the first time." CLIFFORD BOWDIN, NEW-MUSIC-SHOWCASE

The Phoenix's Endrene Shepherd wrote "All of the songs have a poetic prettiness that I believe many songwriters envy. Their guitars are fabulous...undeniably, these are two talented young women...this is a fantastic first effort." - Various

This cd is absolutly amazing. Its one of those beautiful, classy, hook-filled documentations of real life that comes so rarely. Its so powerful and thick that simply laying on my bedroom floor listening to it over and over is enough. You girls have created memories for me. I know that years from now, i'm going to find this cd in an old box and listen to it again and remeber people and places and good and bad days. Thank you for gracing my cd shelf. This is a cd i hold very close to my heart. peace

Reviewer: Andy
the songs on this album are catchy but only because their all so similar but i guess thats what pop music is all about-predictability. but the vocals are awesome. they have such great voices and could do so much with sme more original material

AWESOME although others disagreed
Reviewer: Sarah
This CD was one of the best I have ever listened to and I think I have all the songs memorized. However, the lyrics for some of the songs are a little depressing, but I got through that pretty quickly. I can't wait for the second album and for Opening Axe to start burning up the charts here in the US!

amazing and powerful
Reviewer: shannon
i would recommend this cd to anyone. it is heartfelt and reminds me a lot of d/c and all those awesome bands that are singing about something other than money, fame, body parts, and the other domimating themes of much of today's music set out to reach the masses. it's refreshing to know that there are still musicians singing songs with substance!!! - CD Baby

ABOUT US:

Bonnie and Kelsey have been writing and playing songs together since they were 15. One of their first influences was Dashboard Confessional
and they have since been compared as a "female Dashboard". While you may not pick it up in ther sound, the girls are also influenced by
their favorite punk bands such as Blink 182, Yellowcard & Name Taken.
The songwriting process is definitely a 50-50 proposition with both sharing ideas for lyrics, harmonies and guitar chords. One quickly
notices that the most unique part of their sound is the beautiful vocal harmonies. They have a passion for music, and love working with their producer, Mike Southworth at Creativ Studios in Vancouver.
