"Freedom-Seekers"

“Thematically, this song resonates with us freedom-seekers, us big-hearts, us trapped-asunder. This Denver-gone-Brooklyn singer “uses her voice as her most dangerous instrument amongst her repertoire.” ” - YVYNYL

"Quite Amazing!"

“Her voice is so undeniable and beautiful, it's incredibly hard to pull away from it and her new song "Do You Know" - which follows on from the exquisitely slow burning "Boxed In" - is quite amazing.” - Conversations About Her

"Hooked!"

“You might hate me after this post. You want to know why…because once you’ve heard the amazing voice of Brooklyn-based songstress Ophelia Cache you will be hooked and longing for more.” - Taste Hub

"Effortlessly Smooth"

"Her voice is effortlessly smooth as she croons her way through these slightly hip-hop-flavored slices of soul. Like any good friend, Cache’s new song, Pity Party, playfully highlights how pathetic we can all look at times, and suggests cutting the whining and doing something to make things better. It’s like a classic wine that retains, if not surpasses its original quality with time. Poetic lyrics paired with her soothing, lived-in voice is enough to unwind anyone should they be need to unwind." - Kick Kick Snare

"Ophelia Cache - Leaving London"

Denver native Ophelia Cache has the sort of voice you might expect to hear pouring out of a phonograph or filling a dark, smoky parlor. It has a sort of timeless quality, a poised and measured sensuality that draws inspiration from the torch songs of the 1940s and clear influence from the singular Amy Winehouse. It’s a style that suggests more than lyrics spell out, with Cache’s voice giving the loose narrative of new single “Leaving London” a cinematic, mournful quality, planting a foot in the present while keeping eyes on the past both sonically and thematically. - Pigeons and Planes

"Mixtape Monday"

The great minds at Bedford Box Office have unveiled the second set piece in their new “Dope” series, and it’s a thing of brief beauty. Ophelia Cache’s “Vaccine” slowly quivers over a deep river of bass and draws you in with every passing bar; “Dope” side B is an immersive study in some of the most current R&B getting made today. Consider it your pain-free homework and turn it up in your headphones. - okayplayer

"Love Trouble? Get A Shot Of Ophelia Cache’s ‘Vaccine’"

Here at SoulBounce, we have an appreciation for artists who can embrace a vintage sound while simultaneously giving us something authentically original. Since we're currently crushing on the likes of Andra Day and Leon Bridges, it got us to wondering...where in the world is Ophelia Cache? We became enamored with the Denver-born chanteuse last year, and then she seemingly vanished. Well lo and behold, the Bounce-Worthy singer recently resurfaced in her home base of Brooklyn with a June performance at Littlefield. And now, she's gifting us with a brand new single, "Vaccine."

Dubbing the track as "future blues," Ms. Cache shares the secret of how she copes with her relationship woes. "Got vaccinated...immune to your lies / Been sick off them about a million times," she laments. From the sound of things, we're guessing she keeps current on her booster shots. Her voice was once described as, "A sonically sweet amaretto for the ear's drinking pleasure." On this particular track, her vocal delivery is a heady cocktail of retro jazz and saucy blues, invoking the peaceful haze that accompanies the morphine drip referenced in the lyrics. Hit the play button below to get a dose of Ophelia's aural serum.Ophelia has teased that a new EP is in the works. We're not sure if this is the long awaited Dolly & The Bull album, or if it's something else entirely. Either way, we can't wait to get our hands on it. In the meantime, scroll down and join us as we reminisce on Ophelia's previous work and vintage style with the videos for "Leaving London" and "Do You Know." Then follow her on Twitter for style inspiration, updates on the album and upcoming live performances. - Souldbounce

"Ophelia Cache's new song 'Beverly Hills'"

Ophelia Cache's last release 'Leaving London' was one of our Top 5 Songs of the Week back in November, and her new song 'Beverly Hills' could be as well. Her voice is incredibly smooth and soulful and the staccato melodies match it perfectly. The song is from her upcoming album Dolly & the Bull, which doesn't have a release date yet but hopefully it's out sooner rather than later. - TheFourOhFive

Bio

While many artist struggle with anything from sound to visual image while finding themselves as an artist, Brooklyn by-way-of Denver songstress, Ophelia Cache, has managed to find an identity that is all her own. Influenced by her love of mid century blues, and new-age production made popular by recent artists like The Weeknd & James Blake.  Ophelia has managed to corner a musical style that is equal parts Ableton and Gramaphone.

In 2010, Ophelia moved from her quiet suburb just outside Denver to the city streets of Brooklyn, NY.  It did not take her long to settle in.  Within a year, she was renting apartments to Brooklyn newcomers in Williamsburg, and now knows the landscape better than some natives “…It’s (Brooklyn) the perfect place to start new. You can be as much of yourself as you’d like and no one will care how strange or different that may be. You can disappear here. You can stand out.”

Ophelia’s creative thread is not your typical homage to the torch music of the 40’s.  She combines her love of Billy Holiday and Judy Garland with that of the more recent innovators in the art of songwriting.  Her understanding of music, she says comes from performing as a classical musician playing Carnegie Hall at 16, and also from her love of left leaning music of all genres.

In fashion she is a self-proclaimed "Bettie, with a gothic swagger"  She is drawn to all things dark, and has a fascination with big bangs, winged eyeliner, vintage fabrics, and the color black.  Ophelia became a published wardrobe stylist in 2015, landing photographs on several major modeling agency websites. Her collaboration efforts with leading photographers and designers (Katty Xiomara, Charles&Ron) landed her a spread in Supermodel Magazine earlier this year.

Just over a year ago, Ophelia started to build her musical fan base with her first independent release “All Things Blue”. The project garnered attention from popular tastemaker blogs like Brightest Young Things & KickKickSnare.

“…It’s like a classic wine that retains, if not surpasses its original quality with time.”

Ophelia's latest release “Leaving London” made its debut on popular indie music blog Pigeons and Planes, it has since received praise from digital space elites such as BlahBlahBlahScience, Hypemachine, and UK’s The 405.

Her unique vocal stylings would lead to invitations to sing at major sporting events throughout New York City, collaborations with a genre-bending production team The Kickdrums (ASAP Rocky, Kid Cudi, Kanye West) & APSPDR+ (Jarell Perry, SZA, Aloe Blacc), and a feature on rapper Deniro Farrar's 2014 release "Rebirth".
