Bio
"OPHISHAL" , to paraphrase the Webster's Dictionary , is a person who holds a position of authority. This is not only the best way to describe this group of emcees , it is also their name "OPHISHAL". "OPHISHAL" , growing up in Danville , Virginia or Tha 'Ville as some call it , are a product of hallway ciphers and street corner battles. They came up in a time when emcees would spit lyrics for the adrenaline rush. For them it was all about lyrics. They continually asked themselves "what can i say that no one else has said , but wished they said." "OPHISHAL" , a three man collective of Eric Harris (DOE) , Robert Fallen (360) , and Dayan Wilson , began their career in the early nineties under the name "BLACKSHADE". In 1997 they had there first national appearance on "BET'S TEEN SUMMIT TALENT SHOWCASE" and also locally released their first singles "Brothers Got Dreams" and "Ill Tecnique". In 2001 DOE , DAYAN , and 360 along with other local emcees form an eight man super group named "OPHISHAL". In 2004 , due to creative differences and life changing situations , the members decide to separate. In 2005 DOE , DAYAN , 360 decide to resurrect "OPHISHAL" and make an all out run at the music industry. With artist such as RUN DMC , KRS ONE , A TRIBE CALLED QUEST , and THE WU-TANG CLAN , to help shape their character and their lyricism , "OPHISHAL" plans to make a definite stand in the music industry. With the release of their album "THE CLARIFICATION OF A MOVEMENT" they hope to turn doubters into believers and believers into fans.
