Biography

Opium Western is a two-man band thanks to the GTR-BASS innovation of singer-songwriter Dane Mulligan. With drummer Jim Newlon the two musicians create a sound like no other live band. The material is "alternative blues" and "indie rock" with classic rock influences.
Although a relatively new band - Dane and Jim have over 30 years of combined music experience on stage and in the studio.
Dane and Jim have spent their lives back and forth between the midwest and California. Both are "Air Force brats"; that is, they have traveled a great deal and shared the experience that only military families know.
