Oppenheimer Firecracker

Oppenheimer Firecracker represents loud hook-laden rock music fabricated in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Starting out locally, opening for national acts including Sponge and the Toadies, we have placed our stamp on the NEPA music scene.
Oppenheimer Firecracker accidentally formed in 2006. Pat Chippel (Chip) and Mike Teetsel co-wrote 11 songs and needed a drummer for the recording. Chip contacted Chris Daniels and asked him if he would take on the project. Chris accepted and the recording was underway.
After many takes and tweaks the album was complete. Then, what next? We felt, hey, we got these songs together, let’s go out and play them and see if others like them too. So, we started practicing and re-tweaking the set-list. We decided to drop some songs from our live shows to maintain an even flow of songs to impress the crowd.
After dropping a few of the slower songs, the band felt the need to develop some new music. These new songs represent Oppenheimer Firecracker’s music the best because they are written by all members and are a culmination of all band members ideas and influences.
Oppenheimer Firecracker’s music represents three musicians who don't share any common influences. They don't even understand each others influences. Yet, the blend of these sounds is 100% American rock music, that doesn't compare to any other band.
