Bio

Out of Buffalo, NY, Optic Oppression is an industrial rock phenomenon in it's infancy. With dark bass lines, driving beats, and a taste for musical circuitry Kendall Morris's solo project is now poised to turn heads and reshape the local music scene.

While currently rounding up an elite roster of stage fiends to perform and promote the release of the new EP, Find A Way, Optic Oppression continues to write, record, and unfold it's plans of stealing the spotlight on the local, state, and national level.

From it's inception Optic's music has been designed to break up the monotony of the local rock scene. Combining influences ranging from Stabbing Westward to Nine Inch Nails, Linkin Park to Orgy, Optic Oppression walks the now shattered line between the analog and digital worlds. With a dark electronic writing style that has been described as "innovative" and "more than industrial", Optic Oppression seeks to grasp the cutting-edge and carve out a niche of it's own in a musical world where it seems everything has been done before.

Optic Oppression was born when Kendall Morris first realized that rocking a mic on stage was the only thing he was good at. While fronting various hard rock and metal bands such as Caldera and the renowned 86 To Nowhere, Kendall slowly began building a separate arsenal of music with a very different vision. Now, with the intent of starting a live show to supplement the new album, Optic Oppression is ready to spread it's wings and come alive like never before.
