On our upcoming album "Slap Happy" we explore a paradoxical dystopia characterized by a precarious balance of uneasiness and ephemeral hope. Fluid guitar melodies accompanied by gleaming brass and mild-mannered synth lines carry the listener through the static hum of this gloomy but whimsical dystopia.
While this album will be somewhat of a departure from our light-hearted and dance-able tracks like "Noggin" and "Undergaze" that appeared on our previous record "Mush", we have retained and even developed our eccentric use of instrumentation and time.
"Slap Happy" is set for an independent release in the spring of 2019. Four singles from "Slap Happy" are currently streaming on Bandcamp and Soundcloud (Disenchant, Splash, Magenta, and Sip).
