Oratory

Oratory was established in 1990 by lead singer Mike Swanson and drummer Mark Gordon. Through the years, the band has had several members in their line up, but Mike and Mark have provided the strong foundation to the Davenport, Iowa rock band. Several years ago, the addition of Darren on bass and Jeremy on guitar proved to be the perfect combination for the explosive chemistry of today's Oratory.


The band has had the pleasure of opening for national acts such as Superjoint Ritual, Chimaira, Spineshank and were invited to play with the Jagermeister Tour which featured Slayer, Hatebreed, Sworn Enemy, and Hemlock. They are no strangers to the big stage, feeding off the energy of large crowds and throwing it down for the Oratory loyal, and the newer fans alike.

Now, predominately preforming as a cover band- Oratory is keeping the heavier side of radio alive, playing many of the songs rock/metal fans love. From Seether and Bush to Chevelle and Slipknot- Oratory has something to offer everyone. The live show is exciting and perfectly exemplifies the true talents of the members of Davenport's heaviest of heavy metal bands.
