“Sleek”, “Honest”, “Raunchy”, “In your face”…these are some words the fans of Orbit Bear choose to use when they are asked to describe the sound of their music. “We kind of…don’t have limits” says drummer Charlie Alexander “in writing our songs or pretty much anything else”, And in listening to their music you might agree since the band seems to fuse indie, blues, dance, and pop quite flawlessly. Charlie, bass player Nathan Restrepo, and guitarists/vocalists Albert John and Christopher Daniel all grew up together in Miami, FL and were close friends before forming a band in May of 2007. “Chris and I were in a band together and Nathan and Charlie were in another band together and none of us were particularly happy with those bands and the four of us were best friends we were always together and it finally dawned on us…well, why don’t we write some tunes, form a band…that might work out and things just sort of took off from there”, remembers Albert. And taken off it has as this fearless band continues to win over new listeners with their fresh take on dance and Indie music and their energetic live act.
