Cel mai recent CD al Orchestra da Tre Soldi din Italia a fost nominalizat, în 2008, la premiul pentru cel mai bun disc, "Best Jazz", din partea prestigiosului Jazz Magazine.

Trupa a sustinut peste 100 concerte atât în Italia, cât si peste hotare, fiind invitat special la Festivalul de la Sanremo, în spectacolele realizate de RaiUno si la Jocurile Olimpice de Iarna de la Torino.

Înfiintata în 2002, orchestra reuneste artisti consacrati ai scenei italiene de jazz si muzica clasica. Asa cum se autodefinesc cu umor, prin concertele lor muzicienii propun o calatorie vizionara catre sunetele de mâine, cu un ochi la prezent si o ureche în trecut. Evolutiile lor aduc mai aproape muzica secolului al XX-lea - Kurt Weill, Montsalvatge, VillaLobos, Jobim, compozitori care au oferit o dimensiune globala traditiilor, dar si compozitii inedite bazate pe întrepatrunderea limbajului jazz-ului modern cu muzica contemporana si cu accente de folk din întreaga lume.
