Orcus O Dis starts in 2003 with only three members: Alberto Aviles (drums), Alfredo Rivera (guitar) and Emmanuel Gonzalez (guitar), soon Ivan Carbajal (bass) and Alfredo Rocha (vocals) joins the band.
It was until 2007 when, along with the collaboration of Fabricio Avalos as their manager at that time, the band recorded their first EP. The album was completed in late 2008 entitled "Novus Orsa"
After finishing this record Alberto Aviles leaves the band and David Nuñez replaces him.
In 2010 after a lot of local gigs the band decided to play in the ‘’Wacken Open Air Battle of Bands’’ in Mexico City to compete against 44 bands to get a place to play in the Wacken Open Air festival in Germany. The band won and Orcus O Dis played on Aug 4th 2010 at W.E.T. Stage, sharing the festival with bands like: Iron Maiden, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, Arch Enemy, W.A.S.P., UDO, Stratovarius, Motley Crue, Alice Cooper, Soulfly and many others.
In 2011 band starts to record 9 songs for the 1st LP entitled ‘’Ix’’ finished on late 2012. The disc art and design was entrusted to Niklas Sundin, guitarist of Dark Tranquillity and professional graphic designer.
After finishing this record Ivan Carbajal leaves the band and Ivan Delgado replaces him.
