Bio
Ordet was originally formed when Mike Listrom (drums) Mike Malleske (guitar) and Cort McCullough (vocals) were in high school. They were accompanied by Chris Preece on bass, who later went on to join Vanna (Epitaph Records) as their vocalist. It wasn't until Ordet was joined by bassist Sean Holton and former At All Cost (Century Media Records) guitarist Ryan Goebel that the band gained the sound that identifies them among the metal scene in Austin. Ordets influences come from a wide range of bands, from the heavy riffs of Pantera to the melodic songs of the Deftones. While most bands in the scene seem to be recycling the same material of what's popular, Ordet gives a fresh spin on the music that inspired its member's by incorporating ambient melodies and powerful hooks into classic heavy metal riffing. Ordet is currently working on their upcoming full-length album "We Will Never See Home Again."
