Oriana LaRusso

Oriana started singing when she was a mere four years old,(repeating the entire score form the musical CATS, her favorite show) then it was obvious that she would continue to wow anyone that heard her. Her professional debut occured several years later and as a result, she is beginning to see the rewards of her talents. At the age of eleven, in a chance meeting Oriana met a New York city music publisher, who not only became enamored with the voice, but her personality as well. He promptly took Oriana under his wing and began to cultivate this young performer into the poised, dedicated, talent she is today. Her willingness to succeed has become apparent to every industry and non industry person she comes into contact with. Working with vocal coaches(Katie Agresta,Chris Curry& others) from many genres, like R&B, cabaret ,rock & pop helped her to be able to sing many styles, genres and gain a true appreciation for all kinds of artists. Early in her career she began writing her own lyrics, and making cover songs into her own style as well. In 2003 she competed in an international talent competition in front of 8,000 peopleand was the first runner up for her singing ability. That same year she was a finalist in the young childrens category of Showtime at the famed APOLLO theatre.At that point both Oriana and her parents knew the thrill of applause and the support of the crowd would only serve to ignite her desire for the stage even further.She began to work feverishly in the studio on both coasts to eventually wind up with ten songs,that were co written and written by hit song makers and highly respected producers, Roger Fife, Sir Santiago,Andrew Manzone,Adam Marano and last but not least Roy Hamilton) all along the way appearing anywhere and everywhere she could to hone her skills, stage presence and love for what she was doing. Her greatest thrills come from perfoming for charities and senior citizens, because she always feels they are most appreciatve and make her count her many blessings.In addition to her singing she is a champion Latin ballroom dancer who boasts 50 first place Gold medals,and actress,who has appeared in several independant films, and a few comercials(ipod, New Jersey Tourism, Florida Tourism,Capri sun drinks) Her dance abilities also include,tap,ballet,jazz,pointe,lyrical and hip-hop.She likes her music to express her love and talent for dancing and to have a somewhat latin/club feel as well. "Music should not make you want to stand still" "It should move you emotionally, physically and mentally always, and when it does I've done my part" she says with her never off her face smile, and laughing deep brown eyes! Oriana's boundless energy and constant good mood makes her an easy artist to work with and a real crowd pleaser. She hopes to be that different kind of artist that not only has mass appeal but can constantly change and grow and be a true positive influence on anyone who she meets and touches with her music.Hopefully through the efforts of fans like you she will continue to climb into the stars and shine so bright.
