In 1989 Orixa wanted to make some music. 17 years later, in 2006, she finally started working on it using just voice, laptop and a few old synths. Moving to Berlin in 2008, Orixa put together some tracks for her self-released Stasis EP (2009), a unique blend of bizarre electronic pop, which draws on a diverse set of influences ranging from Tim Exile to Billie Holiday via The Sleepy Jackson and R. Stevie Moore.
